We will be covering preparations for a show or preparing for a fair, packing your show supplies and trailer, grooming supplies and what is available, grooming, showmanship and clipping. Broke show calves are available for the kids to get on the end of a halter and we work them through a mock show for individual assistance. At the very end, we hold the clipping so that everyone can come and go as they need. If a family is interested in the finer points of clipping, they can stay and ask all the questions they want. We cover blades, clippers and clipping. We will be offering a light dinner for all who attend.
We invite families to come and spend the evening with us. We provide handouts, pencils and lots of time and help. The only thing you need to bring is a lawn chair. This is a very casual environment and we only ask you pre-register so that we can have a head count for the food and drinks. All the expenses are covered by the Bud Goodman Memorial Youth Fund. There is NO cost to you or your family. Our only interest is to educate the beef exhibitor. There is no catch, just a evening of fun and education.
